Fried Chicken




  1. Put the chicken in a container, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then add the buttermilk, mix it around, wrap with cling-film and marinade overnight.
  2. Remove the chicken from the fridge and leave to stand until at room temperature.
  3. Pour your oil into a pan and heat to 170 degrees.
  4. In a bowl combine the flour with the seasonings.
  5. Take the chicken peices, shake off excess buttermilk, and coat in flour.
  6. Fry the chicken, turning every so often for 25-30 minutes until evenly golden on all sides.
  7. Place the peices onto kitchen paper to remove excess oil, then serve.
